DESCRIPTION OF THE PORT: The pier is managed by the Municipalities. These pier is comparatively small and are general limited to a small volume of coastal traffic serving the local needs of provincial towns.

RESTRICTIONS: on loading and discharging only between 23:00 and 08:00 hrs and Max.draft 12 m.

ANCHORAGE AREAS: An open pier, anchoring 6 - 7 cabless off the pier. (Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station.)

PILOTAGE: is compulsory for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, provided by the GEMPORT Pilot VHF channels 14, 71 or 16.

TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and and provided by the GEMPORT.
BERTHING: The ships berthed to pier usually have to utilize their own gear for loading and discharging. Mobile cranes can be hired privately to load/discharge up to 200 Tons SWL. The stevedoring services through private contractor.

WORKING HOURS: operates 24 hours a day year round. First Shift: 08.00-16.00hrs. Second Shift: 16.00-24.00hrs. If necessary can be effected 24 hours loading/discharging operation.

GARBAGE REMOVAL: service is available by trucks.

WASTE OIL DISPOSAL: service is not available.
